The soil permeability is required to design the on-site detention system (OSD) or absorption pit. Soil permeability testing is a useful tool to help confirm the soil category for design purposes, particularly if there is any doubt or if the design is not to be conservative.
The test will be undertaken using a constant-head soil permeameter device in accordance with AS /NZS 1547:2012 Appendix 4.1F Soil Permeability Measurement. This test would allow us to provide shallow soil infiltration or absorption rate.
