Have you placed fill on your property?
If you accept “clean-fill” onto your property and if a statutory authority believes or suspects that the fill may be contaminated, under provisions within the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997, they have the power to issue a notice to you to take clean-up action. This could involve an investigation of the imported fill material to prove that the material meets the land-use criteria and can remain on the property. Our team is experienced in undertaking these assessments and if required liaising with the NSW EPA and Local Councils. We really are here to help.
