FAQs

What environmental consulting services do you provide?

Our environmental scientists and engineers deliver:

  • Preliminary Site Investigations (PSI) and Detailed Site Investigations (DSI)
  • Contaminated land assessments and Conceptual Site Models (CSM)
  • Remediation Action Plans (RAP) and validation
  • Waste classification (EPA guidelines) and disposal pathways
  • Acid Sulfate Soils (ASS) Assessments and management plans
  • Groundwater and vapour intrusion assessments
  • Environmental monitoring (noise, dust, water quality) and compliance reporting We tailor solutions to planning approvals, EPA requirements, and council conditions across Sydney, Wollongong, the Illawarra and SEQ.

Why is environmental testing important for development projects?

Environmental testing is essential to:

  • Identify contamination risks early (e.g., hydrocarbons, heavy metals, asbestos)
  • De-risk planning approvals and comply with EPA and council requirements
  • Protect health and the environment (soil, groundwater, vapour pathways)
  • Control costs via appropriate remediation and waste classification
  • Avoid construction delays by addressing issues before they impact site works With Alliance, you get clear, actionable reporting and practical remediation strategies aligned to your program and budget.

How do you ensure health, safety and environmental compliance during fieldwork?

Our crews follow robust HSE protocols, including site-specific risk assessments, traffic and public safety controls, dust/noise management, waste handling and groundwater/soil containment where relevant. Safety and environmental stewardship are embedded in our planning and execution.

Do you provide reports for DA, CC, CDC or construction certification?

Absolutely. We deliver fit-for-purpose geotechnical and environmental reports tailored to Development Application (DA), Construction Certificate (CC), Complying Development Certificate (CDC), and as-built/construction requirements. Our reports are designed to be clear, concise, and compliant—minimising requests for information (RFIs) and approval delays. We also have several Design Building Practitioners (DBP) in our engineering team for any class 2,3 or mixed-use developments.

How quickly can Alliance deliver test results?

Turnaround depends on scope, sample volume and test type, but we offer rapid scheduling and expedited laboratory processing when needed. Typical ranges:

  • Field investigations: 1–2 weeks from booking (subject to scope and access)
  • Standard soil classification tests: 2–5 business days from sample receipt
  • Specialty tests (e.g., triaxial, permeability): 5–10 business days We’ll confirm timelines upfront and can prioritise critical-path results to align with construction or design milestones.

How do I request a quote for environmental services?

You can request a quote in three quick ways:

  1. Call our team at your nearest office (Seven Hills, Wollongong, Gold Coast)
  2. Email project details (site address, scope, timelines, drawings if available)
  3. Submit an online enquiry via our website contact form

To speed up pricing, include: site location, project type (e.g., DA, CC, detailed design, construction), desired testing/assessment, key dates, and any previous reports. We’ll respond quickly with a clear scope, deliverables, and turnaround times.
