Environmental Management Plans

An Environmental Management Plan (EMP) is a site-specific plan developed to ensure that necessary measures are identified and implemented in order to protect the environment prior to or during construction. The scope of an EMP will vary depending on the scale and type of the development project. Typically they are site-specific reports that help with environmental risk management during construction and industry operation.

Often Easier to Implement and Cheaper than You Expect

Each site and project is unique, with varying environmental issues. This means the commitments and actions to avoid impact will vary based on size, project scope and location.

Basically all you need to know is the following:

  • What are the environmental issues that may affect your site?
  • What harm can these issues cause?
  • What are the best ways to manage and minimise these issues?
