Tower Crane Footing Inspection

These inspection reports approve the suitability of the crane foundation as per the design recommendations. The crane foundation drawings should reference a site-specific Geotechnical report where the crane is supported by the ground (soil or rock). Where crane ties are used, these reports also approve the design of the ties and the suitability of the support structure.

Time is money, we understand and have engineers ready to help

It is essential that the ground on which a tower crane stands has an adequate bearing capacity. In assessing this, account should be taken of seasonal variations in ground conditions. The bearing capacity must not be exceeded under the most severe static and dynamic crane loading conditions. In a similar fashion, consideration must be given to the structural strength and stability whenever the unit is supported on or by any structure.
